Von Doelers Ranch

We, two adults and a teenager, have tremendously enjoyed our one night cabin stay, horse rides and other activities. Communication was prompt and easy, all questions got answered, a request for more challenging trail rides was accommodated. We loved everything - people, horses, rides, the cabin, the food, forest and lake, the fire at night, the opportunity to communicate with horses outside of our riding time, the stories about them. And the tractor ride to the cabin was another adventure we have not expected - challenging, with long ups and downs. The weather at the end of October was cooperating too. Thank you very much!

Had a wonderful time at Von Doelers Ranch. I did the three night package with my sister and for our first camping/ranch trip we couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. The ranch is open and clean, the animals well cared for. We were greeted immediately and made to feel at home. Little Bear was cozy and larger than what the pictures on the site show, along with an amazing view of the lake. If I had to say one bad thing about LB it is to have the BBQ grill replaced, because it was rusted and the hot plates had to much grime causing flares from the oils. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and never made any of our trail rides dull, they kept the group engaged and showed us some amazing northern Ontario sites. Breakfast and dinner was homemade, fresh and delicious. I am not terribly good at cow sorting but had lots of fun nonetheless. I will go back again and would recommend anyone staying in the North to have a visit.

A great 2 hour trail ride through the forest to Talon Chutes. Vivian our guide was very helpful , experienced and pleasant.

Truly love this ranch! Staff and owners are always friendly and willing to help. Horses are well looked after and in good physical condition. Trail rides and lessons are always great! Would definitely recommend this ranch

Such a beautiful and cared for ranch with amazing staff! We drove from Sprucedale just to ride with their horses and it was well worth it. The staff was very friendly and inviting with a lot of cool and diverse stories. They allowed us to wonder the ranch and meet their newest horses! Would definitely recommend for all ages and all levels of riding.

Has a fantastic experience with the horses. Easy riding along the trails. Our guides Grace and Elyse were great and patient. Would definitely recommend for the whole family.

Absolutely incredible experience!! Gorgeous cabin, super friendly staff/ranch hands, incredible and immersive ranch experience. Plus all the horses are super sweet and very easy to ride. Not to mention the two adorable dogs on the ranch!!We will 100% be returning :)
